Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 base | $200,000 – $280,000 OTE + equity

Cardinal is an early-stage AI company redefining how outbound is executed. Their AI platform identifies high-intent prospects, monitors behavioral signals, and generates personalized outreach across email and LinkedIn — combining outbound execution, enrichment, and workflow orchestration into one system. $1M ARR in under 3 months, 50+ high-growth startup customers, and backed by Y Combinator.
This is a founding GTM role — not a traditional sales position. You are directly responsible for how fast the company grows.
What You'll Own
- Run end-to-end sales from first touch through close for smaller startups; support enterprise deals alongside founders
- Own a book of up to 100 customers with high-touch engagement — driving retention and expansion through hands-on execution
- Launch and optimize outbound campaigns across email and LinkedIn; develop highly customized outreach strategies per customer
- Turn successful outbound campaigns into repeatable systems and scalable playbooks
- Act as the voice of the customer internally — provide direct feedback to shape product direction
Sales Context
- Minimum contract size: $3,000/month
- Average book size: up to 100 customers per rep (~$4M–$5M ARR per rep)
- Sales cycle: often one-call close for smaller startups
- Travel: minimal — primarily remote interactions with occasional in-person in SF
Requirements
- 1–2 years experience in sales, GTM, partnerships, or community roles at a fast-moving startup
- Experience running outbound campaigns directly and understanding what high-quality outbound looks like
- High agency — ability to operate without a defined playbook
- Comfort working directly with customers in a hands-on capacity
- Strong sales mindset focused on winning and driving outcomes
- Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco for full onsite work
- US work authorization required
