Junior Platform IAC Engineer (Infrastructure as Code)
Location: Richardson, TX (Onsite) | Compensation: $120,000 – $134,000

Role Overview
As a Junior Platform IAC Engineer, you will assist with the development and maintenance of our modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution. These environments — a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware — provide the enterprise hybrid cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large project producing a critical, strategic national asset. The role includes hands-on engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.
You will gain experience maintaining COTS and FOSS products and using tools such as LDAP, RHEL, Tenable, Consul, Ansible, and Terraform to implement and support the Infrastructure as Code solution for our programs.
Note: This position is based in Richardson, TX and work will be performed at the onsite facility, requiring occasional travel to the customer site for upgrade and implementation activities as necessary.
What You Will Do
- Assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IaC solutions following established best practices
- Support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts utilizing Ansible playbooks
- Support container development and orchestration activities using Kubernetes and Docker under guidance from senior engineers
- Contribute to build and test pipelines across on-premise, virtualized, and cloud-based computing environments
- Work with engineers on specialized tool usage and issues, learning standards and best practices
Qualifications You Must Have
- BS or BA degree in STEM (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics)
- Foundational experience with one or more of: Integration, Cloud, Containerization, Infrastructure or Platform as a Service, Linux Development, or Microservices
- Experience with Linux System Administration such as RHEL 6.0 or higher
- Familiarity with Agile Development Methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
- Current TS/SCI Security Clearance with a CI Poly required Day 1
- U.S. citizenship required
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
- Experience with application deployments to Kubernetes
- Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite, Cucumber, Eclipse, Git
- Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks
- Exposure to CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go
- Experience with Postgres, SonarQube
- General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization
- Background in COTS and FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
- Experience with Ansible automation frameworks
- Current CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain
