Front End Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite, 5–6 days/week)

Role Overview

Front End Engineer owning the full product surface of an AI memory platform powering LLM applications. This is a high-ownership, early engineering role working directly with founders to build scalable, high-performance user-facing systems.

Responsibilities

• Ship end-to-end features across frontend and backend including API design, UI development, and deployment
• Build and optimize high-performance web applications using Next.js, React, and Python
• Design component architecture, manage state, and ensure accessibility and performance across the product
• Own data models, backend logic, and system integrations supporting frontend functionality
• Implement SSR, ISR, and real-time features for responsive and scalable user experiences
• Write tests, enforce type safety, and maintain high code quality standards
• Operate production systems including monitoring, debugging, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with design, research, and customers to deliver polished, user-centric product experiences

Requirements

• 5–8 years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience with Next.js, React, and Python
• Experience building and scaling production web applications
• Strong frontend depth including component architecture, state management, and performance optimization
• Experience with REST or GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and queue systems
• Track record of owning features end-to-end from design through post-launch iteration
• Ability to work onsite in San Francisco
