Founding Engineer

Base Compensation: $130,000 – $200,000

Overview

This is a zero-to-one Founding Engineer role inside an early-stage AI company building an AI-native operating system for high-level decision makers across government and enterprise environments.

This is not a feature-level engineering position. You will own full product architecture and execution—from system design to deployment—helping shape the technical and product foundation of the company.

This role is ideal for a scrappy, product-minded engineer who thrives in early-stage environments and wants meaningful ownership over mission-critical systems.

Core Responsibilities

Ship core AI-driven workflows used daily by executive and leadership teams
Design ingestion and structuring systems that transform unstructured information into actionable intelligence
Work directly with leadership teams to understand real-world workflows and embed the platform into daily operations
Shape architecture across backend, frontend, AI systems, infrastructure, and security
Build and iterate on personalization, reasoning systems, recommendation layers, and contextual intelligence
Own infrastructure scalability and security considerations from day one

Requirements

2–5+ years of experience shipping full-stack products in fast-paced environments
Proven experience building AI-native SaaS products
Scrappy, resourceful, and execution-driven mindset
Strong ownership mentality with demonstrated care for mission, product quality, and measurable outcomes
Experience shipping full products end-to-end (not just isolated features)
