Job Description:

About the Company

A profitable, fast-growing startup building modern data infrastructure for the construction industry — a $12 trillion market still running on software built decades ago. The product sits between legacy ERPs and modern construction tools, automating manual back-office workflows (ERP sync, AP automation, expense and vendor management). 550+ paying customers on multi-year contracts, multi-million-dollar ARR, ~10% monthly growth, and cash-flow positive since 2023. Backed by leading venture investors and operators from major construction and fintech companies.

Founded 2021 · ~36 people · Industry: Property Tech / construction data infrastructure

The Role

A hands-on, technical product leader who builds new products on top of deep, already-integrated infrastructure — owning the full arc from idea to MVP to production to $1M+ ARR, then doing it again. Roughly 70–80% strategy, customer work, and roadmap; 20–30% execution. Reports directly to the CEO and works daily with Product Analysts, Account Executives, and engineers.

What you'll be doing

  • Define what gets built — synthesize customer, sales, and market signals into product direction, sequencing, and “why now.”
  • Lead cross-functional execution from requirements through scoping, QA, launch, and customer rollout.
  • Go deep with customers to understand workflows, uncover unmet needs, and shape products people will pay for.
  • Set and drive the roadmap across a portfolio of products; prioritize ruthlessly.
  • Think in platforms, not features — every product should make the next easier to sell and faster to build.

Tech stack / tooling: APIs, SQL, databases, Postman.

Requirements

  • 1.5-6 years software (data analyst, product, or technical role)
  • Hands-on builder, not strategist
  • Technical depth: APIs, SQL, Postman, databases
  • Customer-facing: software engineers to CFOs
  • Early-stage startup tenure at data-dense product
  • SF 5 days in-person, no remote

Green Flags

  • PM or technical role at an early-stage startup (pre-Seed through Series C) building a data-dense or complex product (accounting, project management, B2B SaaS with operational complexity). Direct match.
  • Founding PM or founding-team experience demonstrating real roadmap ownership and shipping cadence from 0 to 1.
  • Construction tech, fintech, or vertical SaaS adjacency with accounting workflow exposure. Strong plus but not required.
  • Hands-on technical depth: production work with APIs, SQL, databases, Postman in a previous role (not just academic exposure).
  • Multi-year tenure at a previous role. Signals depth and follow-through.

Red Flags

  • Pure strategist or “CEO of the Product” mindset. This role is execution-heavy (70-80% strategy + customer work, but no scaffolding to plan in the abstract).
  • Pure consumer AI PM background without enterprise or B2B operational depth.
  • Big tech PM only (FAANG without startup tenure). Acceptable only if junior with 2 years or less of big-tech time.
  • Pure consulting or banking-to-PM track without startup adaptation. Mismatch with the company's pace and in-the-weeds execution.
  • Laid off from last role for performance reasons. Prefers work-life balance, narrow scope, or remote-first. Hard mismatches.

Why Join

  • Profitable and compounding: cash-flow positive since 2023, 550+ paying customers on multi-year contracts, ~10% monthly growth.
  • Proprietary, already-integrated infrastructure plus a built-in distribution channel of 500+ customers — what you build gets used immediately.
  • True 0→1 ownership with direct CEO access; build, ship, and grow products to $1M+ ARR.
  • Strong benefits: 90% healthcare, 401(k) match, relocation support, daily meals, on-site gym, commuter benefits.

Details

  • Location: San Francisco, CA
  • Work policy: On-site, 5 days/week — no remote
  • Compensation: $130,000–$200,000 + 0.05%–0.2% equity
  • Visa sponsorship: H-1B, O-1, OPT
  • Employment type: Full-time
